What to consider

✓ Define the required cleanliness classifications and environmental conditions according to the cosmetics manufacturing process. Separate raw material weighing, mixing, emulsification, filling, packaging and changing areas. Consider local extraction where powder handling is involved.

✓ Select suitable rock wool, EPS, PU or other panel cores based on fire safety, thermal insulation, moisture resistance and production requirements. Confirm panel thickness, steel facing, coating and joint structures to achieve durable, smooth and easy-to-clean surfaces.

✓ Check wall alignment, ceiling levelness, panel connections, internal and external corners, and wall-to-ceiling interfaces. Use appropriate sealing materials and finishing details to minimize air leakage, dust accumulation and difficult-to-clean areas.

✓ Confirm door and window dimensions, opening directions, frame structures, viewing positions and sealing methods in advance. Plan personnel access to avoid conflicts with production equipment and material movement routes.

✓ Determine pass box dimensions and locations according to material sizes, transfer frequency and cleanliness classifications. Consider mechanical or electronic interlocks where controlled transfer between different zones is required.

✓ Select suitable air shower dimensions based on personnel numbers, entrance space and traffic frequency. Allow sufficient room for electrical connections, control systems and maintenance, while coordinating the air shower with changing rooms and cleanroom access routes.

✓ Determine FFU quantities, locations, filtration efficiency and airflow according to room area, cleanliness classification, personnel numbers and equipment heat loads. Coordinate fresh air, return air, exhaust, temperature, humidity and differential pressure between zones. FFUs do not replace the complete HVAC fresh-air and exhaust system.

✓ After installation, inspect panel joints, door and window seals, equipment operation, airflow, air velocity, pressure differentials and filter integrity. Conduct airborne particle, temperature, humidity and other cleanroom performance tests according to project requirements and agreed acceptance criteria.
